Hamburgh Holidays Santa Claus Parade

Hamburgh Holidays

Hamburgh Holidays is both a series of holidays-themed events and the name of the all-volunteer community organization that oversees the events.  Organizers kick off the holidays with the much-anticipated Santa Claus Parade on the Saturday following Thanksgiving.  The holiday festivities continue into December and culminate with the Lighting of the Way on Christmas Eve.

The largest annual parade in Hamburg, the Hamburgh Holidays Parade features marching bands, holiday-themed floats, scout troops, animals, fire trucks, and much more. With up to 70 organization participants, it attracts large crowds of spectators along the major routes of Main and Buffalo Streets. Santa and Mrs. Claus join the parade in their sleigh, bringing along Santa’s Workshop.  The day of the parade they head to their final stop in the Hamburg Village Square, where the kids can visit Santa in his workshop in the month of December.

Holiday Wreath Sales are going on now.  The are urging local businesses to join in the Hamburgh Holiday spirit by purchasing a wreath for their front doors or facades.  It supports the good work of Hamburgh Holidays and helps beautify the village throughout the holiday season.
